Ritmo Latino Moved to June 22

ritmo-latino-2013

Cary, NC – Ritmo Latino is a popular festival in Cary not only for the Latino community but for everyone who enjoys a family friendly good time. Due to inclement weather, this year’s festival was postponed from earlier in May to Saturday, June 22, 2013.

Ritmo Latino

The 9th annual Ritmo Latino Festival will be held for the second year in Downtown Cary, extending all along South Academy Street with one stage near Chatham and a second stage near the Arts center. The festival will run from noon to 7:00pm. Academy Street will be closed that evening with detours set up around the downtown core to allow for dancing in the streets.

The free family -friendly event drew over 5,000 visitors last year. An expanded program this year includes:

  • 7 music bands from various countries
  • 12 dance groups from different countries
  •  Free Zumba lessons
  • A free soccer clinic provided by the “Carolina Railhawks” (registration at 10am, clinic from 10:30am – 11:30am, photos and autographs after clinic
  • Kids zone with “Free Face Painting”

Experience music, dancing and plan to have dinner on the streets of downtown. And maybe learn a dance step of two!
