Biggest Furniture Store Comes to Cary Towne Center

Cary, NC – For shoppers looking to update their home or fill in a new one, Cary Towne Center now has the largest furniture store in the Triangle.

100,000 Square Feet

Cary Towne Furniture, located inside the Cary Towne Center mall off of Walnut Street, is one of the newest and largest stores in town, with close to 100,000 square feet of retail space.

The store opened with small notice on Sunday, May 1, 2016 with a note on its doors, messages from the larger Cary Towne Center mall and a burgeoning social media presence.

Cary Towne Furniture occupies the same space where the Sears in the mall used to be.

Despite boasting its 100,000 square foot size, making it the largest furniture store in the Triangle, Cary Towne Furniture is still new and large swaths of the store are still under redevelopment so not all of the floor space is filled with furniture for sale.

The store is currently open, with opening month discounts still in effect for anyone interested in checking out the stock.

I was looking around Cary Towne Furniture, looking at a couch when some lady who worked there yelled at my friend and I “out! out! next time I’m calling cary police!”.

    Multiple problems:

    1. We were looking around at couches, and I am actually unsure what the problem was.
    2. She never said what the problem was.
    3. I wasn’t planning on purchasing anything that day, but how would they know that? I could’ve been a customer and they yelled “out! out!” at my friend and I like we were dogs.
    4. What was with the cary police statement? We weren’t destroying anything, stealing anything (were they expecting me to stick a chair in my pocket?) or doing anything remotely illegal.

Horrible customer service, rude treatment to people. I have been inside this store once and it was a poor experience.
