Cary, NC- May 24 was declared Cary’s National Taiwan Heritage Day in a proclamation by Councilman Jack Smith. He spoke at the beginning of what turned out to be an amazing display of athletics by the Taipei Physical Education College’s award winning Cultural Arts Performing Team Friday at the Cary Arts Center. Cary, NC – The Carolina Railhawks face MLS Champions LA Galaxy this Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Wake Med Soccer Park in Cary.
LA Galaxy will be returning to Cary for the Third Round of the 100th Lamar Hunt U.S. Open.
The U.S. Open Cup is a knockout style tournament that began in 1914 and is open to U.S. Soccer affiliated clubs, both amateur and professional.
The ‘Hawks won the right right to face Los Angeles with a 3-1 victory over the Carolina Dynamo.
In 2012, the RailHawks hosted MLS Champion, LA Galaxy, in the Third Round of the competition in front of a sold-out crowd at WakeMed Soccer Park, who were entertained with a RailHawks 2-1 victory. In the Fourth Round, the RailHawks hosted Chivas USA (MLS) but were ousted when Chivas USA converted a second half stoppage time penalty kick.
In NASL play this year, the Railhawks currently sit in second place with a record of 3-2-1 behind the Atlanta Silverbacks. At home, the ‘Hawks are 3-0-0 in NASL play.

Morrisville East Meets West Festival – A celebration of music, food and dance in the Triangle’s most diverse community.
