The last few weeks have been rough. Back in April I had surgery to fuse three vertebras in my neck; I had two herniated discs that were wreaking havoc on a nerve and causing tremendous pain. Well, everything was doing fine until I started to experience the same pain again, only this time on my left side.
I have to say I never thought I’d see the day when both Cary and Chatham County would agree on a plan.
Thursday evening’s council meeting included a number of discussion items to include land development ordinance amendments, a rezoning near Wake Med on Kildaire Farm Road, the Panther Creek ninth grade center request from WCPSS, a report from staff on the proposed Technology Task Force, and chickens – not necessarily in that order.
I need your input. It’s about schools, and development.
The last month been rough. I woke up one morning with excruciating pain in my neck. I went to the doctor to find out what was going on. Soon after that, I’m meeting with a neurosurgeon who’s asking me how soon he can get me on the operating table.
The proposed ordinance would essentially eliminate beekeeping in town limits. So who cares right? I mean, who needs bees anyways?
We have every intention of protecting the visual landscape in Cary, but we must also recognize that successful downtowns are lit up and alive at night. We will take great care to ensure that whatever is constructed is of the highest quality possible and tasteful in design.
The economic recession has significantly impacted Cary’s revenues, and while the council and staff have done a good job trimming the fat from our budgets and taking on no new debt, the “needs” list continues to grow.
