This weekend is filled with big Cary events, from the Nâzim Hikmet Poetry Festival to the Downtown Cary Farmers Market opening back up to North Carolina FC returning to play a home game and more.
Persistent offense from the North Carolina Courage and strong defense by Sky Blue FC resulted in a tight game this past Saturday, with the home team finally breaking through in added time.
This past month saw lots of new business news in Cary, with a new Aldi opening, several restaurants opening their doors and multiple businesses relocated around town.
The U.S. Men’s National Team (MNT) competed in front of a sold-out crowd at Sahlen’s Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park, with a narrow victory over Paraguay thanks to a penalty kick.
Fight the cold weather with fun events all around Cary, with Final Friday Art Loop, Waverly Place’s Sip and Shop fundraiser, the North Carolina Courage play at home and more.
The North Carolina Courage’s first ever home game saw them defeat the Portland Thorns. One year later, and with the Thorns crowned as last year’s champions, the Courage returned home to take the Thorns on again with a similar outcome.
If snow last week wasn’t strange enough, this morning Cary residents woke up to see flakes falling from the sky even later into Spring. But there may be even more snow coming later this weekend.
