Triangle, NC – Saint Patrick’s Day is a well-liked holiday because it requires very little of us. We don as much green as possible and drink beer all night long. Sometimes, if one feels like a real go-getter, he will go to a parade.
My family’s tradition is to eat a hearty meal of corned beef, cabbage, Irish soda bread and green jello while listening to The Chieftains or some other Irish jam band. The drink of choice is always beer. On occasion, there will be a Guinness lying around; otherwise we drink some of my dad’s homebrew. Read more
Cary, NC – My friend Jack in Chapel Hill writes a great blog. Over the weekend, he posted about the 3rd Annual North Carolina Science Festival, happening April 5-21st. It’s two and half weeks of science events for adults and kids across North Carolina. Read more
Cary, NC – Yesterday, Representative David Price (NC-04) formally announced his nominees for appointment to the U.S. Air Force Academy, the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, and the Merchant Marine Academy. Congratulations to all those students in the Triangle who have received this singular honor.

Cary, NC – The Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) just released their Global Entrepreneur Indicator, a semi-annual survey of 8,000 entrepreneurs across 40 countries. As it turns out, entrepreneurs in the Triangle are feeling pretty good about the prospects for 2013. Read more
