Cary Theater Nears Completion
We love our movies here at CaryCitizen and we’ve been charting the restoration of The Cary since the Town acquired the property in July of 2011. Now, the restoration and expansion is almost complete.
Here’s what the property looked like back in the summer of 2011:
Here’s a photograph of The Cary in mid-construction:
And this is a photo taken on Tuesday, January 14, 2014:
Rumor has it The Cary theater will open on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2014, but no info was discovered on the Town’s website.

Wonder if they need a popcorn machine attendant?
Work 5 years and get a Town pension?
Any draft beers or it all craft beers?
Shouldn’t be a problem, its been a deserted area in the evenings. When I’ve photographed Harvest Days, Ole Time Winterfest. Seven O’Clock Rock Series, I’ve never had to park more than a block or two away, about the same as a full lot at Crossroads 20. There are signs that direct you to parking, just like downtown Raleigh.
I’m still wondering where they think the 200 people who will be sitting in the theater will be parking.
