1700 Empty Bottles Build Bright Horizons Greenhouse

Cary, NC – The children at Bright Horizons at the Clubhouse in Cary have been busy for the past year building a Greenhouse made out of 1700 recycled 2-liter bottles. The children will use the greenhouse to grow food to give back to their community as part of the Grow & Share program. Read more

Cary Native Wins Fulbright Award

Cary, NC – When she was at Martin Middle School, Cary native Leslie Willis discovered a love of travel through her grandmother, whose photo books, adventure stories, and spur of the moment trips captivated her. A decade later, she has been awarded a 2013 Fulbright grant to teach English in Malaysia. Read more

Walmart Neighborhood Market Coming to Kroger Site

Cary, NC – Walmart confirmed last week that it is planning to open a Walmart Neighborhood Market at the old Kroger site at the corner of NC 55 and High House Road. That same site was briefly in the news as a potential location for and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility. Read more

Cary, NC – The last month been rough. I woke up one morning with excruciating pain in my neck. I couldn’t move, well I could, but that made the pain even worse. I went to the doctor to find out what was going on. He sent me for X-Rays – nothing. He then scheduled an MRI. Soon after that, I’m meeting with a neurosurgeon who’s asking me how soon he can get me on the operating table. Read more
