I haven’t seen turf this messy and wet since belly flopping on a Slip’N Slide in my backyard in grade school. Fans were literally bailing water out of the stands with beer cups.
My Cam Newton “bromance” continues. At least for one more Sunday. The big leagues are clearly not too big for this guy.

The Carolina Hurricanes are in the midst of a losing streak having lost the last 5 including 2 this past week at the PNC Arena. The Division cellar dwellers the Florida Panthers beat the Canes 4-1 on Tuesday March 19 and the New Jersey Devils also beat the Canes 4-1 on Thursday March 21.
I chose Harpoon IPA from Harpoon Brewery (self-proclaimed as “New England’s Craft Brewery”) to rep New England. I chose Brooklyn Lager from Brooklyn Brewery as the New York representative.
The Saints, not surprisingly, beat the Carolina Panthers on New Year’s Day 45-17. That said, there is much about which to to be optimistic.
