I’m a traditional country music lover, and I twisted the arm of my wife, Chris, to go – insisting that this was history and these two artists won’t be touring forever (although they almost have been touring forever). She assured me after the show, that she was glad she did.

PineCone, the group that promotes traditional music in the Piedmont, had a last minute hole to fill this past Saturday night. The scheduled act, Blind Boy Chocolate & The Milk Sheiks had broken up and Jamie Katz from PineCone was able save the evening by booking Jerron “Blind Boy ” Paxton at a last minute save.
The Kickin Grass Band makes their debut appearance at The Starlight Concert Series on Friday, June 29, 2012. This free series of concerts are held on select Friday evenings throughout the summer.

The Ritmo Latino Festival in Cary, presented by Diamante, showcases the food, music, dancing and fun of Latino culture. Its free to everyone next Saturday, August 7th in Bond Park.
After last week’s epic 61 weekend events, things have settled own a little in Cary. Slightly.
