Cary, NC – Our area has an active scouting culture, with many parents signing kids up in elementary school. But few stick with the scouting commitment all the way to Gold Projects or Eagle Scout status. But Boy Scout Troop #316 at St Andrews Catholic Church in Apex has had 35 members achieve Eagle Scout status, the highest honor in Scouting.

Raleigh, NC – The Carolina Hurricanes lost a frustrating game Thursday February 21 against the Winnipeg Jets at the PNC Arena, 4-3. Frustrating because the Canes dominated puck possession, frustrating because of soft goals by the Jets and frustrating because a win could have boosted the confidence in the young team the Canes had on the ice.
