Cary, NC – This week was long one for me with lots of important events.
Monday I met with the town manager for our weekly one-on-one. We talked about downtown projects and the upcoming quarterly meeting.
Tuesday I joined Council member Frantz in a taping of Cary Matters. This episode will be about the Page-Walker Arts and History Center and its 150th anniversary. The Page-Walker was initially built by Cary’s founder, Allison Francis ‘Frank’ Page, in popular French Second Empire architectural style. Read more

Cary, NC – This week consisted of meetings, ribbon cuttings, and other events.
Monday I joined council members Robinson, Bush, Frantz, and Yerha for the ribbon cutting of the Hive. The Hive is a multipurpose space located in western Cary near McCrimmon Parkway and Yates Store Road. It offers activities for all ages ranging from arts enrichment to exercise and STEM programs. Cary, NC – This week’s highlights include a fire station groundbreaking and a regularly scheduled council meeting.
Monday I contacted all council members to hear of questions and concerns they may have had about the Thursday council meeting. Most of questions were about the developer condition on the Pine Rail Lane and Green Level West Road rezoning proposal. There were also questions about the public hearing on MacGregor Centre Planned Development rezoning proposal. Later in the day I met with staff to go over the agenda and questions the council members had. Our meeting concluded in about 15 minutes. Following that meeting I had a short meeting with the town manager and Mayor Pro-Tem Bush.
Cary, NC – The Thursday, October 25, 2018 Cary Town Council meeting may have been the shortest meeting of the year, with limited discussion or public comments and two items tabled. But the meeting still saw important votes on the Fenton development, Koka Booth Amphitheatre and more. Read more
Cary, NC – With less than two weeks until Election Day, candidates for the North Carolina House and Senate seats in Cary met with members of the Cary Chamber of Commerce at a candidate forum, taking questions and talking about education, Wake County’s growth and healthcare costs. Read more
Cary, NC – This week was a typical third week of the month with a mayors meeting and a meeting of CAMPO (Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization).
Monday I met with the town manager to discuss a downtown business development. The project has been in the works a long time and we talked about how I could help. That discussion lasted about fifteen minutes even though we talked about an hour. Read more
