Cary, NC- The Cary YMCA Super Skippers brought home 34 overall medals —  12 of which were gold – from a regional jump rope competition in Chapel Hill recently. The Super Skippers won more than half of the total medals at the event. Read more

This was one of the toughest weeks I have had as mayor. It started in Washington and ended with me in bed with the flu Saturday night. In addition to my intense visit to Washington, there were tough issues at home that included the Bowden case, Cary Park safety, and a Motiva decision in Apex. Some suspect that the drought may have created a newly available food source in the Glenaire section near Dorothy Drive and Union Street (Map of the Area). There was an abundance of rodents in the area during the last drought, we were told.    Read more
