Panthers Beat: Chicago Bear-ly Wins

Cary-lina, NC – The 1-3 Panthers played well this week but came up short 29 – 34 to the Chicago Bears, who are not exactly the Monsters of the Midway anymore. But let’s not forget that the Bears were in the NFC Championship just a little over 9 months ago. And one of the other two losses Carolina has been handed was to last year’s Super Bowl winners.

No, the schedule gods have not been fair to the Panthers. Before the bye, they still will have to play the Saints, the Falcons, the Redskins and the Vikings. A brutal schedule. Yet they’ve been “in” every game right to the end. Read more

Cary, NC – It was just another week of surprises in the NFL. What do they say? “…on any given Sunday…”?

The mighty Pats lost to the lowly (and now 3-0) Bills, the Giants broke their losing streak to the so-called “Dream Team” Eagles, and the Lions broke a 13-game losing streak to the Vikes.

Most importantly, the Panthers posted a “W” with a sloppy 16-10 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Read more

Save A Life Event Grows in Second Year

Cary, NC- A year ago, Victoria Bennis was planning her first save a Life Walk. She and her family were recovering from a personal tragedy. Her brother John, a 16 year old Green Hope student had taken his life the previous November. When a second Green Hope boy committed suicide that May, she knew she had to do something to stop what she perceived was becoming an epidemic. Read more
