Native Son Honored at Smithsonian Exhibit

Cary, NC – We love the Kramden Institiute, those folks just across the town line in Durham who have refurbished 11,000 computers and given them to underprivileged students. Now, work by Kramden co-founder Ned Dibner, 23, has been chosen for a most unusual art exhibit at the Smithsonian Institute.

Cary, NC – Public school has been back in session for two weeks now, and the high school events are piling up. Although students have the usual classwork, homework, clubs and athletics to deal with, many attend extracurricular events. Cow Parade Marches into the Triangle This Weekend

Cary, NC- This weekend 150 cows will appear all over the Triangle, as part of CowParade North Carolina, raising money for NC Children’s Hospital.  Several have been painted by local Cary Artists. Read more

Outdoor Sculpture Installation Downtown

Cary, N.C. – Friday morning, under a threatening sky, 12 sculptures made their temporary homes along Academy Street in Downtown Cary. From about 9:30 through the afternoon, the artists and a town crew along with volunteers from Cary Visual Art helped secure each piece of art, as part of the annual juried show known as the Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition. The sculptures will call Cary their home through June of 2013. Read more
