Hurricanes Lose to St. Louis Blues

The Canes had an impressive 4-2 win over the the Tampa Bay Lightning Bolts on Tuesday, January 27, 2015, in their first home game after the All-Star break.
The Carolina Hurricanes had their four game home win streak broken by the Vancouver Canucks 3-0 on Friday, January 16, 2015 at the PNC Arena.
The Carolina Hurricanes had an impressive game over the reeling Colorado Avalanche in a 3-2 shootout win on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at the PNC Arena. The Avs have several players out with some major injuries, and are currently out of the playoff picture, but are still stacked with some serious talent.
A Cary Caniac said, “We need to play the Buffalo Sabres more often; they make us look good.” Sure enough, the Canes beat the Sabres 5-2 on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at the PNC Arena in a game that saw good things all over for the Canes.
The Carolina Hurricanes are back on track in the new year. After a string of losses, they beat two teams in home games at the PNC Arena over the weekend. On Thursday, January 2, 2015, they beat the Philadelphia Flyers, and, two days later, they beat the Boston Bruins.
The Carolina Hurricanes lost a game that was hurtful everywhere. Hurtful as in another loss–this time to the Montreal Canadiens 3-1 at the PNC Arena on Monday, December 29, 2014.
The Carolina Hurricanes played host to two teams at the PNC Arena last week. They beat the Toronto Maple Leafs 4-1 on Thursday, December 18, 2014 but lost 3-2 to the New York Rangers three days later.
The problem is that the Carolina Hurricanes don’t play much better at the PNC Arena than they do while away, as they scored just five goals in their last four home games. The Canes scored two goals in their only win and scored just a lone goal in all others.
The Carolina Hurricanes didn’t benefit much from the home cooking, dropping games to the Wings and the Devils at PNC Arena.
