Samaritan’s Corner: The Penguin’s Angel

P! T! A! Prepare! The! Article!

That’s exactly what I thought during a PTA meeting I attended a few weeks ago at my son’s school!! While covering many different topics in the meeting, Mrs. Bame, my son’s Principal, began to veer off of the path a little. She started talking about this lady named Maria! Mrs. Bame went on and on about how loving, caring and neccesary Maria is to everyone in the school, especially the children! As Mrs. Bame continued to brag about the “Wonderful Maria,” whom I had never met, I could almost see tears building up in her eyes.

Samaritan’s Corner: I’m The One

Welcome to Samaritan’s Corner. Let’s Talk!

Luke 17:12-16 – As Jesus entered a village, ten lepers stood at a distance, crying out, “Jesus, have mercy on us!” Jesus looked at them and said, “Go show yourselves to the priest.” As they were walking away, Jesus healed them. “ONE” of them, when he saw that he was healed, came back to Jesus and thanked Him for what He had done. Well, it’s Christmas time, and so the melee begins!! The rushing around, the credit card debt, the stress and all of the other unnecessary pressure we create at Christmas.

Samaritan’s Corner: From Addiction To Conquered Dreams

Welcome to Samaritan’s Corner. Let’s Talk!

He’s B.B. King, I’m Jimi Hendrix! He’s the the Temptations, I’m New Edition! He’s Heavy D. and The Boys, I’m Public Enemy! He’s a tailor-made suit with sandstone wingtips, I’m a t-shirt, shorts and Brooks Ghost! He’s a luxury sedan, and I’m down with anything with only two doors, sits low to the ground and tops out at 180! He can be reserved, and I can never seem to stop talking! We’re so “DIFFERENT” in so many ways, and still yet, if you sit in front of either one of us, you’d get the “SAME” song of victory, and it would sound like this!!

Samaritan’s Corner: What If?

Welcome to Samaritan’s Corner. Let’s Talk!

What if, people only saw two of God’s children in this picture, and not two men, of two different colors? What if, people focused more on a bikers heart, and less on the Harleys they ride? What if,  we could sit down and ask questions because we truly wanted to understand each other?

Samaritan’s Corner: They Needed Someone Special

Welcome to Samaritan’s Corner. Let’s Talk!

Christy Clemons Wilson: I was in shock!
Lauren Barber: I cried!
Sara Osborne: It was like I was having an outer body experience.

These are the reactions that these three mothers had when they found out that their own “Special Needs” were met! Christy’s son T.J., was born with down syndrome, Lauren’s son Hayden was born autistic, and Sara’s son Danny was also born with down syndrome.
