Cary, NC – Faeries, Petit Fleurs and all sorts of playful forest creatures emerged for Cary Ballet Company’s Tales of an Athenian Forest this past weekend at Cary Arts Center. In this lighthearted ballet, based on the timeless tale A Midsummer Night’s Dream, these exquisite young dancers flitted around effortlessley on their toes casting magical spells on young lovers. Cary, NC – For over a decade now the town has planned for a destination park in Cary’s downtown. While I appreciate the charette team’s efforts to take one last look at this site, after reviewing previous plans and community input it is clear that we got it right the first time – a large central park in Cary’s downtown. Raleigh, NC – The Carolina Hurricanes are in the midst of a losing streak having lost the last 5 including 2 this past week at the PNC Arena.  The Division cellar dwellers the Florida Panthers beat the Canes 4-1 on Tuesday March 19 and the New Jersey Devils also beat the Canes 4-1 on Thursday March 21.   Read more
