The Hurricanes broke free of their new year losing streak when they defeated the Philadelphia Flyers Tuesday night in overtime.
Cary, NC – No loss is considered a good loss but Sunday’s loss by a score of 4-3 to the Philadelphia Flyers was nothing short of disappointing. There were bright spots: the Rask-Skinner-Stempniak line continues to produce, fourth liner Viktor Stalberg notched his first goal of the season and Ron Hainsey played his usual no-nonsense-in-your-face defense. Raleigh, NC – The Carolina Hurricanes had a complete team effort in a 6-3 win over the New Jersey Devils, Saturday March 9 at the PNC Arena. It was Military Appreciation Night and the Canes came out for warm-ups in camouflage game sweaters as a classy tribute to the military in attendance in the seventh sellout of the season. Read more

Cary-lina, NC – The Carolina Hurricanes hosted the Montreal Canadiens the night before Thanksgiving and really needed this game in more ways than one. At the end, they lost 4-3 in a shootout, which is a horrible way a professional sport should determine the outcome of a team game. Read more
